New Millennium Wind Energy, LLC was founded in Avon, Colorado in 2008 to develop and manufacture a revolutionary, proprietary design for the direct production of clean, renewable, 3-phase / 60 Hertz energy from a vertical axis wind turbine tailor-made for on-site, distributed power generation. The company was formed by an experienced team of industry leaders in aerospace engineering and propulsion systems to pursue new ways to harness wind energy and eliminate the operational and maintenance problems common to both utility scale and small scale wind systems. Through extensive research and development, the company has developed several proprietary designs (Patents Pending) that overcome most of the problems inherent in large wind farm class production systems including, excessive torquing in gusty wind conditions, dithering props due to unstable air flow at differing altitudes, lost power due to long distance transmission from source to substations, low utilization of power produced due to variable power spiking the public utility grids and the high cost of maintenance of these systems in the field that require huge cranes to service them in remote locations. Our proprietary design, which we call the Next Generation Wind Turbine, is targeted at the “Point of Use” distributed generation market, including large box retail, office towers, hotels, casinos, and island nations and communities where large scale “wind farm class” turbines are impractical due to building restrictions or load constraints of building structures.
